Cyber Insurance Readiness Score
Insurers now decline more applications than they used to, and almost always for the same handful of missing controls. Find out where you stand in about two minutes.
Not sure on one? Answer "No". An underwriter will treat "we think so" the same way.
How this is worked out
Eleven questions, each weighted by how heavily that control features in cyber insurance proposal forms rather than by how hard it is to implement. Multi-factor authentication and backups carry the most weight because they are the two things almost every insurer asks about first, and the two most likely to result in a declined application.
Each question scores full marks for "Yes", half for "Partly" and nothing for "No". Half marks are deliberate: MFA on some accounts is a genuinely different answer from no MFA at all, and underwriters treat it that way.
This is not an insurance assessment. It is a self-assessment against the controls insurers commonly ask about, built to show you where the gaps are before an underwriter finds them. Every insurer sets its own requirements, and the questions on a real proposal form will go further than eleven. The 80% benchmark is indicative of the market, not a threshold any single insurer publishes.
Your answers are scored on our server and the report is emailed to you, so nothing is shown on screen. That is deliberate: it means the address has to be one you can actually reach. Your name, email, score and the gaps identified also come through to our team. We use them to follow up on this and nothing else, and we never share them.
