In-depth insights into our work

Real results, proven solutions

Six Kent businesses, in six different sectors, ranging from a fifteen-person accountancy practice to a care provider running three homes. Between them they cover managed support, cyber security and certification, Microsoft 365 and automation, connectivity across multiple sites, and telephony.

Each one names the problem as the business described it, what we changed, and what came of it. Clients are anonymised at their request, which is why you will see sectors and staff numbers rather than company names.

Estate agency, Kent: 4 branches

A Four-Branch Phone System for a Kent Estate Agency

Challenge

Every branch had its own number and its own answerphone. Vendors ringing about a valuation hit voicemail when the negotiator was out on viewings, calls could not be passed between offices, and staff on the road handed out personal mobiles.

Solution

CT1 Technologies replaced four separate systems with one cloud platform: an auto attendant on a single advertised number, hunt groups that overflow between branches, softphones that keep the branch number with the negotiator, call recording, call tracking per campaign, and an API integration into the agency's property software.

Working farm estate, Kent

Estate-Wide Connectivity for a Working Kent Farm

Challenge

The farm office limped along on slow rural broadband while the wider estate had no coverage at all. Yard cameras couldn't stream, machinery telemetry wouldn't sync, and staff drove back to the office just to send paperwork.

Solution

CT1 Technologies installed a dedicated leased line to the estate and designed a full wireless network across it: point-to-point links carrying connectivity from the farmhouse to the yards, barns and outbuildings, with weatherproof access points giving reliable WiFi where work actually happens. The office moved to VoIP phones, and CT1 Technologies now delivers day-to-day IT support, cyber security and IT procurement for the whole operation.

Law firm, Canterbury: 25 staff

Security-First IT for a Canterbury Law Firm

Challenge

Sensitive case files lived on an out-of-warranty office server, staff devices were unpatched, and there was no tested backup. A single hardware failure or phishing email could have stopped fee-earning work and put client confidentiality at risk.

Solution

CT1 Technologies moved the firm to a fully managed, security-first environment: Microsoft 365 with SharePoint document management, enforced multi-factor authentication, managed endpoint protection, and nightly cloud backups with a tested recovery plan: all under one fixed monthly fee.

Hospitality group, East Kent: 4 sites

Always-On Connectivity for a Kent Hospitality Group

Challenge

Each venue had its own consumer-grade broadband, unmanaged WiFi and a separate phone line. Card machines dropped out during peak service, bookings were missed, and no one could see what was failing where.

Solution

CT1 Technologies rolled out business broadband with 4G failover at every site, managed WiFi designed for each building, and a single cloud VoIP system so bookings ring through to the right venue. Everything is monitored centrally, and issues are usually fixed before staff notice.

Accountancy practice, Kent: 15 staff

Microsoft 365 & Automation for a Growing Accountancy Practice

Challenge

The practice already paid for Microsoft 365 but used it as little more than email. Client documents were scattered across inboxes, onboarding took days of copy-and-paste, and month-end reporting tied up two senior staff for the best part of a week.

Solution

CT1 Technologies rebuilt the practice around the tools they already owned: SharePoint for structured client files, Teams for internal collaboration, and Power Automate workflows that handle onboarding, document requests and deadline reminders automatically. Copilot was rolled out to draft routine client correspondence.

Care provider, Kent: 60 staff across 3 homes

Cyber Essentials Plus for a Kent Care Provider

Challenge

Resident records, medication schedules and staff rotas were handled on shared logins and ageing PCs. Local-authority tenders now required Cyber Essentials, and an attempted phishing attack had already come uncomfortably close to succeeding.

Solution

CT1 Technologies hardened every device, introduced individual logins with multi-factor authentication, deployed managed email filtering with staff awareness training, and guided the organisation through Cyber Essentials and then Cyber Essentials Plus: handling the evidence and assessment end to end.
