IT Support in Kent
One local technology partner for your whole county footprint: on-site engineers, proactive monitoring and fixed monthly fees, wherever in Kent you work.
County-wide support, local response
CT1 Technologies provides fixed-fee IT support for businesses across Kent, with our own engineers based in Canterbury covering every town in the county.
Plenty of national providers will put Kent in their coverage list. The difference with CT1 is that we actually live and work here: headquartered in Canterbury, with engineers on Kent roads every day between Thanet and the Medway towns.
That means one partner for all your sites: the same helpdesk, the same engineers and one monthly invoice whether your team sits in one office or spread across five towns.
What our Kent IT support includes:
Contractual response times, not averages: 15 minutes for critical issues, 30 minutes for high priority, 2 hours for medium and 4 hours for low, backed by service credits if we miss them.
- Multi-site support across Kent with central monitoring and one point of contact
- On-site engineers covering Canterbury, Maidstone, Ashford, Dover, Folkestone and the coast
- Proactive maintenance so issues are fixed before they interrupt your team
- Security as standard MFA, patching, backups and phishing protection on every device
- Fixed monthly fees that scale per user and per site, no surprises
- One phone call to 01227 808050 gets you a real local engineer, not a call queue
Wherever in Kent you are, we're close
From our Canterbury base we routinely support businesses along the M2 and M20 corridors, across the coastal towns and deep into the Weald. Remote fixes are instant; when hands-on help is needed, a local engineer is a short drive away, not dispatched from London at London prices.
We already act as the outsourced IT department for 80+ Kent organisations, from single-office firms to multi-site care groups and hospitality operators. If your business is growing across the county, your IT partner should already be there.
Already have someone looking after your IT in Kent?
An in-house IT person
We work alongside them rather than replacing them: taking the helpdesk queue, the patching schedule and the out-of-hours cover off their plate, so they can spend their time on the projects that actually need someone who knows your business. Plenty of our clients run it this way.
An existing IT provider
If it's not working the way you'd like, we manage the switch: collecting documentation, credentials and licences from your outgoing provider, so your team isn't the one chasing them. See how switching provider actually works.
“Our teams care for people, not computers. CT1 made security something that just happens around us, and the certification has already paid for itself in new contracts.”
Registered Manager, Kent care provider
We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 ourselves, alongside Cyber Essentials Plus: the standards we would expect of anyone touching a client's data, applied to our own.
“During a Saturday rush the last thing you can afford is the card machine going down. That simply doesn't happen any more.”

Frequently asked questions
All of it. We're based in Canterbury and regularly support businesses in Maidstone, Ashford, Dover, Folkestone, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Thanet and the Medway towns: on-site and remotely.
Which areas of Kent do you cover?
All of it. We're based in Canterbury and regularly support businesses in Maidstone, Ashford, Dover, Folkestone, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Thanet and the Medway towns: on-site and remotely.
Can you support a business with several sites across Kent?
Yes: multi-site businesses are a speciality. Every site gets the same monitoring, security and helpdesk, managed centrally, with one agreement and one invoice.
Do you outsource any of your support?
No. Support is delivered by our own Kent-based team. When you call, you speak to an engineer who can actually fix your problem, and who you'll get to know by name.
How quickly do you respond?
Contractually: 15 minutes for critical issues, 30 minutes for high priority, 2 hours for medium and 4 hours for low, backed by service credits if we miss them. These are the same targets for every client, agreed in writing in our service level agreement.
Do you offer IT support by the hour, or only on contract?
Fixed monthly fee only, priced per user. No hourly billing and no per-ticket charges, which means we are paid to stop problems happening rather than to turn up once they have.
Do you provide support outside normal office hours?
Helpdesk hours are 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. 24/7 cover is available where an outage outside those hours would genuinely stop the business, agreed as part of your setup rather than assumed.
Is outsourced IT support cheaper than hiring in-house?
For most businesses under a certain size, yes: one salaried engineer covers one set of skills and is unavailable when they are on leave or off sick, where a fixed monthly fee buys a whole team's worth of cover. The exact comparison depends on your headcount and how specialised your needs are, which is exactly what a free IT health check works out.
How is CT1 different from a national IT company that covers Kent?
A national provider's Kent coverage usually means a call centre and a subcontracted engineer dispatched from wherever one is free. Ours is a Kent-based team who already know the county's businesses and can be on-site the same day, at local rates rather than being charged out from London.
